Qu'est-ce qui vous pousse \u00e0 le faire ? Quelle est votre inspiration ?\"<\/h4>\n<h4>La r\u00e9ponse est simple : mon arri\u00e8re-grand-p\u00e8re, le tr\u00e8s honorable Vincent Massey.<\/h4>\n<p>\u00c0 bien des \u00e9gards, il a formalis\u00e9 le concept m\u00eame de leadership dans le Canada moderne. En tant que PDG de l'entreprise familiale, Massey Ferguson, il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 la plus grande soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de mat\u00e9riel agricole au monde. En tant que pr\u00e9sident de la Commission royale d'enqu\u00eate sur l'avancement des arts, des lettres et des sciences au Canada, il a con\u00e7u et d\u00e9fini le r\u00f4le que la culture canadienne pourrait jouer en tant que source de cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 nationale. Sa strat\u00e9gie et ses recommandations ont men\u00e9 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d'institutions et de programmes canadiens int\u00e9graux, et il a r\u00e9organis\u00e9 un parti politique national pour gouverner et fa\u00e7onner le Canada pendant une bonne partie du XXe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p>Mon arri\u00e8re-grand-p\u00e8re a d\u00e9fini l'id\u00e9e de leadership et de gestion culturels. La le\u00e7on qu'il nous a enseign\u00e9e \u00e0 tous est que le leadership doit \u00eatre une combinaison remarquable de comp\u00e9tences individuelles, adapt\u00e9es aux besoins de chacun. Il nous a appris qu'il faut comprendre - et s'engager \u00e0 respecter - ce que signifie \u00eatre un grand leader. Qu'il s'agisse de gestion terre \u00e0 terre, de ma\u00eetrise de la tactique ou d'imagination et de courage pour la strat\u00e9gie, le leadership consiste toujours \u00e0 trouver le bon \u00e9quilibre entre chacun de ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments en toute circonstance.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd'hui, nous pourrions appeler ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments \"objectif\", \"professionnalisme\" et \"passion\" - et tous trois n\u00e9cessitent une compr\u00e9hension des personnes qui devront accomplir les t\u00e2ches.<\/p>\n<p>Il n'existe pas de r\u00e9ponses toutes faites. Aucun type humain facilement pr\u00e9visible.<\/p>\n<p>Nous devons essayer de comprendre le besoin qui se pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 nous et identifier la personne qui a le talent, l'exp\u00e9rience et la volont\u00e9 de le satisfaire.<\/p>\n<p>Donc, oui.
